We do not need revitalization. We need sewer fixed. Leave the downtown alone. Leave the tree alone. It's been there for years. Again only doing what council wants no cares about the citizens. Remember who voted for you.

Wow... I am shocked that there is such an outcry over a tree! Is it even politically correct to display a 'Holiday' tree?

It seems petty that this is such a high concern. If this is what our main worries our with the city than we must be in great shape. Come on people don't you have better things to spend your time and energy on? What is wrong with placing the tree on the corner next to city hall. I remember it going there once or twice a few years back.

The tree stays! Remove city counsel and mayor that voted against KPS bid and the sale of KMTS. The round about is a big waste of money. What's next? Kenora Hydro being sold to the next highest bidder? Current mayor is selling out Kenora to big industries that can operate service in a major city, soon it won't be our town anymore.

We do not need the revitalization, but putting the tree in the parking lot beside the town office would be nice also. Sometimes hard to get around with it downtown even though it looked nice there.

Leave the tree where it is, cancel downtown revitalization (waste of money), and whatever you do, ditch the roundabout. Part of the charm of Kenora is the WAY IT IS NOW. People will still come in the summer since they have cabins out here. Use some of the "roundabout money" to recruit local businesses to properly line Main Street Kenora and festivals to keep the tourists coming.

I'm pretty sure the tree didn't go to waste

Honestly, I'm embarrassed to live here at times. Yes, change the location of the tree, Santa will still come and the walleyes will still bite.

Well it's nice to see that at least we still have local control over the Christmas Tree. More than can be said for KPS or KMTS. Actually as beautiful as the tree is, I just find it such a waste that such a gorgeous living creation of God can be killed for a month or so of pleasure.

I think the tree should stay right where it is. I believe change is good if it makes sense. The downtown project they are thinking of does not make sense at all. Why are they planning on having traffic go through an area that can be better used for more productive recreational activities instead... like a water park, better playground facilities, a picinic area and an area where merchants can gather all the time, not just on Wednesdays. Traffic and parking down by the water is a waste of such a beautiful area.
