Dear confused with comment. Do you not watch tv? They are adding fentenal to marijuana. Do you live under a mushroom?

We have enough trouble keeping drunk drivers off the road now they want to legalize drugs to add to the drivers under the influence and as far as people on other drugs I will say it once if they are stupid enough to try them or continue to use them they deserve what they get. Check out intervention on t.v. A lot of the users don't want help

If the government is going to sell at a reasonable price with proper corresponding tax then it isn't a tax grab. An example of a tax grab is the coming carbon tax and also I consider our new increase in parking meter fees a tax grab.

Josie, your comments are usually VERY highly informed. In this case I think you may have misread or misinterpreted the poll question. You may be referencing the opiate (or fentanyl) deaths. The question here deals with marijuana. Can you support with real facts, that marijuana "overdoses" actually occurred? Can you reference at least one credible story that will support your comment?
In full disclosure, I will say it is my opinion that with the presently high usage rate of marijuana, it will never be stopped by blowing many millions (or billions) of dollars on enforcement (that is a known failure). The many lives that have been ruined with the criminal records and the cost of their incarceration for this is shameful. Use the enforcement money and any subsequent taxes derived from legalization of marijuana to tackle the opiate use that IS killing people.

500 people overdosed on weed? I'd like to see proof of that

Marijuana leads to harder drugs. I know, because after starting to smoke marijuana I ended up smoking cigarettes as well. Tobacco will kill you.

I heard on the news that over 500 people already, this year, had lost their lives to overdoses. Far more than last year. So what do you think is going to happen when it is legalized? Health care costs, which the premiers are presently fighting over with the federal government, will skyrocket once it does becomes legalized. What is our pot smoking Prime Minister thinking?

The way people use it, legalize it use all the money to pay the ridiculus taxes in this tax ridden country. then we will have to look after them as patients because the world knows smoking is bad for you. The push has been to stop smoking now it will be okay - what a backwards country.

I wouldn't consider it a tax grab but there probably will be a tax included if it is sold commercially. A very good example of a true tax grab is the coming carbon tax.
