Canada Post's expenses are too high for their revenues. If there was more profit, then maybe these boxes wouldn't be necessary. (So why is there not enough profit?) As a taxpayer I'm not interested in "contributing" to Canada Post in order to maintain extremely well paid union jobs. I'm sure the posties wouldn't contribute to my employer to ensure I'm well paid. Bring on the group boxes. (I get my bills via email anyway)

Obviously the post office is going the way of the buggy whip thanks to the internet. More and more people now accept online billing (something I refuse to do) so the post office became too costly
to maintain without major change and this move was inevitable.

It will all depend on where they place the pick-up points. If it is out of my way, I don't drive so it can make a negative impact when walking home from work. Winter will be the worst.

If the change in postal delivery comes to fruition in spite of the postal union taking Canada Post to court then I will have to do what others are obliged to do but I will only collect my mail once a week.

Another way of getting rid of people and not getting any breaks because of it. I really don't care about the mail I won't go out of my way to pick up useless fliers etc. I will probably only check it once in a blue moon and hopefully they will have a garbage near by for the fliers I do not want to take home.

Now Kenora residents will get a taste of paying high taxes and not getting the services and yes it is good to get people off the couch.

Millions of Canadians have had no home mail delivery service for years. I am one of them. With doctor exemptions being made for those who are not capable of getting to their box, this is really a non-issue.

I haven't had home delivery since I moved back and walking the block to the box is supposed to be good for me, so no I'll not miss it.
