The traffic should have been escorted past these law breakers instead of being sent downtown.This was a huge mistake and could have caused many accidents. |

They should have broke it up immediately and locked them all up. Unfortunately the media would have had a field day and made the OPP look like the bad guy. These rich little brat treehuggers should be footing the bill for such stunts instead of the tax payers paying for their own inconvenience. |

Everyone involved in blocking the Trans Canada Highway and endangering life and property should have been charged with mischief under the Criminal Code. It is an indictable offence and all should have been arrested. Enough Said! |

As an aboriginal and a member of Treaty 3, I found the actions of those "environmentalists" to be appauling and reprehesible.
In their selfish act, they disrupted the flow of goods on the road, interfered with peoples vacations and tied up emergency resources that could have been needed elsewhere.
These unwanted people have no need to interfere in our disagreements.
To me they say "clear cutting on aboriginal traditional lands is bad, but okay anywhere else. |

If the average Kenora citizen blockaded the highway, we would have been cuffed and jailed.
I don't see why because some group of unwanted environmentalists does it, it is only "mischeif".
What a sad statement these people made about there cause. I guess if they had real jobs and ambitions, they would feel the same way I do. |

I think the police were too soft because the protesters were blocking the main artery of Cananda: 'the Trans-Canada highway'. The charges, I feel, should have been CRIMINAL in nature and not 'mischief'. Furthermore, I sure hope that 'international' protesters will be banned from entering Canada ever again!!!!!!!!! |
