No thanx! To many drunks, too little control. I was embarrassed last year when I took some out of town guests down there. The intoxicated people , fights and foul language was deplorable. The street people where fine, it was the young people who were right out of control. What a shame.

I am going to watch the fireworks for sure!

For the person who listed the comments about the inspectors being there. FYI - there were inspectors there last year and I expect they will be there again this year. They only sell a certain amount of tickets and once the evening entertainment is sold out, it's sold out. No-one gets in without a ticket (unless somehow they manage to "sneak in"). Everyone has a wrist band and when the bartenders see this wrist band they know they have been checked at the door for age of majority. There have been times where bartenders will double check someone's ID, even with the wrist band, because they look under age and may have been overlooked at the door. Remember that EVERYONE who assists with this event is a volunteer! So lighten up already and if it bothers you that much, then maybe you shouldn't attend.

The entertainment is all good but the fireworks could be closer NOT five miles away, it makes the fireworks look real tiny.
My family and I were there for Canada Day fireworks, we went home kind of disappointed about the fireworks.
Why did they move them from the husky the muskie area to across the lake?

I hope that even though many people from Kenora may not participate in Harbourfest, they take some time to be at least be aware of what is offered. Many times already I have been asked by tourists for directions or information about an event or attraction. I take a few extra seconds to make sure they get good information. Harbourfest is Kenora's biggest summer event and it is all ours. Just because you may think you have seen it all before don't deny others the opportunity by being uninformed or simply disinterested. Let's help make Harbourfest the best summer event in Northern Ontario!!

I like how old friends will come into town for their family visit during Harbourfest. You get to run into lots of people you haven't seen for awhile. The fireworks were fantastic last year. I always look forward to them. A big bouquet to all the volunteers. I know it's a big job putting on an event like this year after year and it is something everyone appreciates and enjoys. Thank you.

I will be there selling my t-shirts to help raise money for asthma. I will be walking across Canada for asthma. I hope to see you all out there.

I avoid the area now completely - not an area I like taking the kids near. This used to be under control but once again is an issue. So, no, I won't be anywhere near there next weekend.

I will take part in the evening shows and especially the car show and the great fire works.

I won't be there, however, I do hope the Inspectors from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission are there. Too many intoxicated persons are being served when they shouldn't be, underage people are being served alcohol and the number of people in the "Big Tent" far exceeed what it is licensed for.
