Sure. Why not cut down the trees and while you're at it, put some big ugly Arts and Cultural centre on the Harborfront, along with the Roundabout that's going to take up the corner of the Harbourfront with all those beautiful trees being destroyed. Don't stop there, how about throwing up some Condo on the water's edge so that the people who actually LIVE HERE won't have to worry about enjoying looking at The lake of the Woods, cause they won't be able to!! Some Mayor and Council!"

Just leave well enough alone. I used to be able to see things around my place too until the trees matured and grew and you don't see me asking my neighbours to cut down their trees just so i can see something. If the tourist want to see it, GO SEE IT!

This same survey was conducted around October 2005 and these were the results.

Harbourfront, harbourfront, harbourfront! It seems that too much emphasis is put on one area of our town. So,the idea is to cut down all the trees so a few tourists can see our fiberglass fish, from,(let me guess),the Harbourfront! Why not just leave the trees alone and allow those that want to, stroll out to the park and see the fish up close? Outside of planned special events, what is there to do on our Harbourfront anyway? Half the area is just a very large parking lot.The other half is private parking for downtown buisinesses, with a big yellow and white tent in the middle. Yes, leave the trees alone at the park. At least it'll give the tourists something to do rather than stand around on the hot asphalt wondering what else there is to do in this berg.

I was on the lake yesterday and there is no problem with seeing Huskie from the lake. Not sure why this is an issue?

The idea is to get people to visit Husky the Muskie! There is a nice walkway from town to the park, a lovely stroll on a summers day.
Cutting the trees doesn't do much for the view, if you are over by the MS Kenora.
Get a grip folks, get out and walk, enjoy the view of the bay.

I think the trees should be left where they are.
It adds natural beauty to the scenery and nature.
Husky the Muskie can be seen well as it is.

I can see perhaps trimming the trees but there is plenty of blank harbourfront with which to view the water. Trees in any urban area significantly add to the beauty. Leave the trees standing please.

I live in Hamilton, Ontario, but I grew up in Kenora till I was 10 years old. The scenery where Huskie the Muskie is should be the same from when I remember it. What's really wrong with the way it is; simply beautiful.
