I think most of the problems are with damage to property followed by drinking, drugs and assault.
Look at all the gang graffiti on stop signs, walls, sidewalks etc. Some parents are to blame for allowing drinking parties in their homes and buying the liquor for their underage guests. Just walk past the elevated skate board park and you can clearly hear every second word as the f word.I think many of our young people are trying to emulate the actions, dress and vocabulary of gangs in New York City. At one time, being seen in a drunken state was a shameful thing, now it seems to be a badge of honour. How times change!

Why do people seem to accept kids stupid excuse "there isn't anything to do here". What kind of reason is that? Maybe if there were some actual consequences from their parents and the police they might find other constructive things they could be doing.

The youth of Kenora seem to be blamed for all the so called crime in Kenora. I dont agree. I'm sure that there are lots of adult criminals here that should have their day in the sun as well. Enough crime for all ages in Kenora.

Youth crime is a very serious problem in Kenora. I believe that a curfew with a fine attached is the answer. Make the parents responsible for paying for the fine and then maybe they will keep a better eye on thier kids and hold them more responsible. I think the curfew should be 9 pm across the board for anyone under 18 years. Only if they are working or with a parent should they be allowed out. Too bad some have to ruin it for all.
