I was embarrassed for Mr. Compton when I heard his closing. I suspect that he himself is the reason why council can't work well together. Time for him to go fishing and enjoy retirement as I don't want a mayor who has a huge chip on his shoulder. I was hoping to hear more from Brown and Nickle than good intentions, not much there once you get into the issues. |

I decided to stay with the incumbents. Most of these people running are on their own agenda. They don't realize we need a united front that will bring new business to Kenora. Most of these people have no experience and haven't even bothered to find out how municipal governments works in consort with the Feds and the Province. |

I would have to say yes, I have been influenced. There were some candidates I was inclined to vote for but after hearing their thoughts I am not so sure I would like them sitting in the chambers. The same goes for some I did not think I would vote for. Now I probably will mark an X beside their name. Are they speaking the truth though? Only time will tell. This does seem to be a popularity contest as well, but hopefully people will vote with their heads and not their hearts. |

The mayors'debates certainly clarified the choices, a fringe candidate, a good meaning but inexperienced candidate, a candidate who says we need new leadership and yet should be long retired and finally our current mayor who shows diplomacy and good intentions in spite of some of the ineffective councilors he has to lead.
I say lets put in some need blood on council and leave some in charge who can lead. |

Its clear that only Canfield has any idea of what he stands for. Brown is lost, Nickle says "pick me, I'm new" and Compton wants to be the aged king ruling with an iron fist. |
