Didn't have the opportunity to see him. First time that I can remember seeing a Prime Minister in this area. I think the Conservative party has a very strong chance of staying in. Forestry job losses were felt during the Liberal era not Conservative. Hard to fix something that someone else has broken and after all it is not really all the government's fault, sign of the times, we are globally changing and the forest industry is not in demand like it was. Roger Valley didn't have the opportunity to vote, his party waffled. Revisiting the GST if they come back was quite the statement as well. Why do we always have to change things that are working just because another party doesn't agree with it or should I say because it wasn't their idea. Canadian tax payers have to start realizing that change in governments is costing them big money and tax cuts anywhere are good aren't they? Doesn't matter who you steal from to pay Paul right! NDP, can't say that I would through a vote to the unknown. They have never been in power and at this time on the planet we do not need a government solely dedicated to the environment or Canadian social programs. Although they are indeed important, these are volatile times and Canada needs to be a part of what's going on in this world. Casting a vote for the NDP you might as well not have voted. We are, in this area, so diligently striving for change and recognition and we vote in a party least likely to promote that change. They do not have a voice and never have maybe Kenora should vote in a different representative. Maybe then someone would hear us. Any I could go on forever. That's my piece.

Loonie at all time high, record low unemployment, strong military living up to commitments, GST cuts, tax cuts. Natives signing treaties. GO Steven GO and I don't mean Stefan

About the only thing that interests me in the current government is the possibility of senate reform. We need to limit the terms of senators. Some of the individuals there are old, out of touch and very ineffective. They should be elected, not appointed. Just because a person was a hockey player or author etc, doesn't qualify them for a senate seat.

No! The conservative-liberal government only care about themselves. They always have and always will. Conservatives do what they want and the Liberal candidate - Roger valley just refuses to vote, he might well stay home. There will only be one candidate allowed to stand up and tell Harper he is wrong and we do care about the environment, that is of course Tania Cameron and the NDP so ... REMEMBER TO VOTE IN 2008 and at least have a candidate who is allowed to vote and not just tow the conservative-liberal party line.

I believe that, because of all federal and provincial party objectives and policies to look out for the majority and appeal to the plural majority voters, rather then, the original inhabitants and true legal owners of this land (First Nations). These people will never get fair consideration and respect (and their stolen lands) at the Legislature and Parliament. The Crowns promise and contents of all our treaties with them will continue to be dishonored by being continuous erodion and extinguishment policies designed by governments since it is the will of their majority (the non First Nations). Consider, the Conservative government's "No" vote on the "United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples" for example and the careful crafted legal wording of the 1998 Liberal government's "Statement of Reconciliation". Admission to wrongs against First Nations people by any provincial or federal government will never happen. so long as racist attitudes continue to exist among Canadians.

Not now, not ever! Why would it?, this is Kenora, we have never elected a Conservative candidate federally and never will.

I think he was lost, ended up here because of all the misleading signage. Anyway, he gets back to Ottawa, gets bombarded by Auto Workers and their MP'S over a few job cuts at Chrysler. Big news on TV! What about the 20,000 forest jobs nation wide. Has he already forgotten about part of the reason he was here. Let's face it folks, we just dont fit in to anyone's big schemes.

People from Kenora always vote against the majority. All the time then when we ask for support from our goverment we find our reps on their phones listening to back ground music while we are put on hold. Wake up Kenora get on the boat at least it floats.

I heard he was coming-no big secret at all, you just have to pay attention. I think we need a majority Conservative government long enough to replace the Liberals in the Supreme Court to make this a COUNTRY and not give away control to certain undermining groups.
