Instead of condos I'd like to see another Tim Hortons on the waterfront - but walk up or boat up instead. Seriously, look at the businesses that are booming... Tims always has a lineup...

Housing is tricky in Kenora [unless you want to buy a $200,000 house]. Condos on the Abitibi property would be perfect - get rid of the ugly building, create viable housing within a walk to downtown AND Lakewood school. Brilliant! Leave the harborfront alone, and tear down those new "lovely" condos that block my Co-Op breakfast view of the water!!

Not all of us have a piece of shoreline on the lake. Please leave us our harborfront to enjoy, in it's natural state, without an invasion of vehicles, commerce, housing (condominiums).

No, I don't think we need a condo unit on the Harbourfront. Look at the eyesore in Norman's waterfront, I think I rest my case!

Who comes up with these off the wall ideas! Why does everything have to be centred around the downtown area.....Kenora is so BACKWARDS!

Why would you ruin the waterfront with condos now? Leave the downtown harborfront alone, it is beautiful as it is. All they would be is expensive housing no one can afford unless you are from Manitoba, since there are no jobs here.

On one hand they need more parking and patrons downtown then in the next instance they want to plug up the waterfront with Condos. Smart idea to now take away boat parking from potential customers living or visiting on the Lake. How about investing some time and money in teaching businesses and their staff on how to treat a person/tourist/customer like a human and potential consumer of the products they are trying to sell.

Hopefully they wouldn't line the entire waterfront with condo's, but if you could clean up Water st. (2-condos, docking, and a green space) all within walking distance of downtown. Shopping, restaurants, close to the hospital for visiting families and revenue from the taxes. If you think about who has the most disposable income, (seniors & kids) would it really be that bad. Think 20 yrs. from now, not tomorrow.

All we need is another festering eyesore like the Faulty Towers in Norman.

I think having people move into the downtown area would be great but I would be most concerned of a wall of condominiums along our waterfront. I love the way our town looks from the water. I have often seen tourists video taping from the highway and when I looked over the water there was nothing there! Then I realized that they were so taken by the beauty of our natural resource that they wanted to preserve it. And by the way if you think all our elected officials are idiots, feel free to put your name on the ballot next time.
