Yes i agree. Beyak should resign not because of her comments on First Nation people but on the basis of her non-existent research skills on Canadian history and on other issues. It's clear to see that Beyak grew up in a Archie Bunker type of upbringing.

In an era where you are not allowed to express what you think, Senator Beyak is a Godsend. She has stepped beyond the veil of "political correctness" and said what a lot of Canadians think and feel. It is sad that she is admonished for this. I wish more persons in positions of power would remove the muzzle and step forward.

I think she should not resign. All Canadians should be treated equally as we all have hardships in our life. All Canadians should support Canada and pay taxes to make this country a better place to live.

What Mrs Beyak is saying is that, yes overall, the residential school system was bad and harmful, but not for everyone and that people can take some responsibility for their own choices and actions.

Many people would agree with Lynn's statements, but she should learn to be more tactful, no need to create all the controversy.

I don't deny that some abuse took place in the residential schools, but I don't consider being sent to a boarding school as abuse. The government couldn't possibly build a school in every community so the residential school was the best way to go. Also I know a few who went to school and have done very well.

So, you don't like what someone says or their views. Good, let's protest all the Chiefs and Band Council members across the country that say things we don't like and throw them out too.

Get rid of her. The Conservative Party needs to get rid of the social conservtives and return to the days before Harper.

They always say the truth hurts. More people need to stand up and speak the truth the only problem is everyone including the media call it racist.

No, what she said has some truth to it. I remember during one of the INM rallies a few protesters claimed they weren't Canadians so what the Senator said is true. They should become Canadians to get the benefits Canadians get.
