You can have 50 offices down town and it wouldn't make one bit of difference. The problem is (enformcement) simple as that. We have a problem we should declare an emergency situation and get special funding.

All you have to do is drive past Knox Church, to realize an office on Main Street is useless. What a wonderful scene on a Sunday, as worshipers try to attend a service.

Having a building on Main Street where you can not report incidents is useless. We need to see more police-OPP and Treaty Three walking the beat through the whole downtown area.

What good will a 9-5 office be on Main Street? What about after hours? That is when it is needed to keep streets a "bit" safer.

Great idea l know I will feel much safer going downtown just to know they are nearby.

If the OPP want to be successful downtown then they must be more visible, not in a cruiser but on foot or even bicycle. Visibility at night is a must.

I don't think just having an office open will help much. There should be foot patrols walking around.

Are you kidding? Why just Main Street? What about Second Street and Park Street or the mall parking lot? Maybe if the OPP walk the beats and not in a car it might help.

It will not be a safe house for being attacked, it's just an office.

Mixed information, one article says you can report an incident at the new Main Street office and the other information indicates you have to go to the Anderson Road office. With all the misinformation on the subject, how can you make an informed comment?
