They put the tent in at the Harborfront and it is empty most of the time. Put it to use. More concerts, events etc.

We need more events to draw people out of their cottages and in to spend at local businesses. It would help if stores besides grocery stores were open downtown. JD for the alcohol at events what do think pays the bills silver collections? It costs money to run any event.

I think we are so fortunate to live in this area. There is always lots to do even without staged entertainment.

There are a lot of events. What bothers me though is why do almost all of them gravitate around alcohol? It is fine to criticize the daily collection of drunks on the street, but come closing time after the bars in or near the events empty. The streets are full of really drunk and annoying event goers.

Being a tourist type town things should be happening every day. We need more events, waterslides, fair grounds etc. for the younger generation on a permanent basis like Tinkertown in the summer. Should be special events every weekend. more shows, and concerts nightly. Lots can be done here.

I would like to see more history exhibits about early settlers, and a big statue how they came here, worked and developed the area, their struggles. Also, how the Ojibwe came, through with the fur trade and the USA primarily when the Iroquois pushed them out from the Sault, how they were able to take advantage of the American push west and Civil war that enabled them to easily move in the area and push into the Prairies. And what happened to the Cree that were here originally? That would be a great story.
