Prior to the last federal election Trudeau promised a massive infrastructure program to repair and replace roads and bridges in cities and towns across Canada.
Because the program would cost many billions of dollars he said the budget would temporarily go into deficit. Well the infrastructure upgrades didn't happen and the deficit has exploded much higher than promised. Bottom line is the town is broke and now taxpayers are faced with an additional carbon tax so don't expect roads to be fixed anytime soon. Thank you, Justin Trudeau. |
