I think if the cost of all the studies that have been done on this subject had been put into construction it would be done by now.

Let's concentrate on repairing failing infrastructure and addressing homelessness instead.

Another tax increase to pay for it , tag it to the water rate increases.

I do not get this town council. The majority of kenora does not want this because it will sit there not being used like the Rec Center now, We do not have the money and no one wants taxes raised. To all people out there, time to get rid of this whole council and get some sensible people in.

Not this dog & pony show again. How much will it cost now?

I think the city should put this money towards fixing our streets, create more boat ramps (after all we are a boating destination), create more parking. The only parking we have for the boat launch will be gone. Then where does everyone park? Only in Kenora!

Without public (not my tax dollars) and corporate input this thing should be laid to rest. The current complex only returns $1 for every $4 spent. It falls on the tax payer, specifically the non users to pay for the loss.
The population is stagnant, People on fixed incomes make up a huge portion of the tax paying public, There are no plans for anything in the future to pay well paying jobs and commercial taxes and basically the town can not afford it. Why not add a referendum on this topic to this year's Municipal Election and seek the entire town's opinion.

As a city of aging tax payers, I can’t see the feasible of this rink. Fees are so high now that lots of kids can not afford to play hockey. We have no junior team and a perfectly good rink in Keewatin. If this has been studied, why are we spending a quarter of a million dollars again? Would love to see this as a vote on the next election ballot before it’s built. Taxpayers will be paying, who else will maintain it.
