I like the council that has been elected - a labour friendly group. It's a shame that they will be hindered by Compton. Look around the only people that profit from tourism and minimum wage jobs are the businesses, not the workforce. No wonder our children are leaving this community... unless they are able to find a way to pay for food, hydro, rent, gas, and transportation on one person's minimum wage job, they will continue to leave. |

Lets start with the mayor. He will get so tied up in legal issues, nothing will get accomplished. Most of the new councillors have their own agendas, and lobby groups to satisfy. So, there again nothing will get done.
For all intents, we have lost the much needed contacts that Mayor Canfield had established.
