To listen to you nice folks out there one would think that smoking is a choice. I am here to tell you it is as bad as any other drug you can find on the streets of Kenora.The only thing not the same is no one or no government is willing to help you give them up. I would be better off to be a drunk or a drug addict. Thanks for your time. |

It's time the inspectors got off their butts and started doing what they are paid to do, checking establishments for smokers. I have been in several and people are smoking. |

If you want to see the lack of results, drive by Beaver Brae at lunch hour, or take a walk behind TA. With all the resources and information out there, these kids just dont get it.
Even worse take a drive behind Pinecrest Home, the Hospital or Birchwood and you will see our well informed "Healthcare Professionals" smoking whats left of their brains out.
Nothing but a total withdrawl of the products will end this crisis. |

I think it's just swell that we smokers are now treated as criminals,I save a lot of money staying away from bars and eatery's. |

I see far fewer smokers today as compared to when I went to school (20 years ago). It's also refreshing to know that far fewer adults smoke around their kids in the home now as well. Both my parents smoked in the house when I grew up... I never thought of it as an unhealthy environment until years after I left home and the NO SMOKING movement began. Removing smoking from public buildings was also a great move. Only step left is to make smokers pay a premium now for the advanced expensive health care they'll need later. If people want to smoke for their entire lives a die a slow horrible death at an earlier age, that's their choice. I'd rather ski.... |
