Who has an additional $5,000 to save in this economy? Again another tax break for the rich. Also there was little attention given to the environment and reducing emissions.

That is easy, another bad budget. If you like it mean you don't know "jack" and won't be voting for the NDP. If you are a conservative you like it and will support it. If you are liberal you hate it but will support it as your leader and party have ever since they decided to prop up the conservative government just to keep their jobs.

Stocks and bonds can also be sheltered in a TFSA, just as in an RRSP. This is a real bonus, especially to younger Canadians. So far, the Conservatives have given me the TFSA and pension income splitting. Good on them! I might even waste some of my savings on popcorn and beer, just as the Liberals predicted we commoners would.

The tax free savings account sounds great but what I don't like about it is if Canadians start taking advantage of it by saving money instead of spending it, our economy may be in for a rough ride. We can't save and grow the economy at the same time.

I think the Conservatives are doing what they said they would... that means of course that only businesses that are competitive will compete, and only people that earn money will make money. Obviously, this is not a desirable outcome for people or business who are looking for never-ending social assistance. Like many others who voted Conservative I am happy to see the government get smaller, get less involved in my life, and allow me to succeed or fail on my own. Others will undoubtedly blame them for the forestry crisis, or lineups at the doctor's office, or the proposed imfamous Kenora traffic circle. Those are the blamers, they'll always be around, and no one listens to them anymore...

Paying debt down is good because that will save billions of dollars in debt servicing costs in the future. Governments need to live within their means because it's our money they squander. Canadians need to learn to be more self reliant and not expect government to pamper them from cradle to grave. Next budget cut taxes.

What a joke. Again no assistance for forestry, single industry towns etc. I get to save my own money in an account at a crappy interest rate and "WOW" I don’t have to pay taxes on it. Harper wants an election, the (man) in charge of the liberals knows he will cease to exist if one is called. Minority governments suck!
