Kenora doesn't have worse potholes than any other place. Kenora just doesn't repair the potholes like they need to.

Potholes happen. The big dangerous ones that cause damage to your car or force you to drive in the oncoming lane need to be fixed . . . but no one is bothering to fix them. Slow down and go around them? There are spots on the Essex Rd, where you have to slow down to about 5km per hour. An unsuspecting motorist will surely damage their car.

There isn't a single question you could pose that the same ol' folks won't blame the council for all their woes. Slow down and drive around a pothole, it's not that hard. Kenora is no better or worse than anywhere else.

Any city/town in Canada that is subjected to extreme temperatures/harsh climate, heaving ground will have roadway issues. That's just a fact. These roads will always have these problems, regardless of maintenence. Note the troubled areas and drive accordingly.

The potholes on 4th Ave. sSouth are so bad that they are unavoidable. Even the manhole covers don't want to be seen with them. Seriously, Old Chalet Lane hasn't been cared for for 20 years and the taxes are outrageous for what you get.

I lived in Winnipeg for five years and the potholes there are unbelievable! Yes, Kenora has some bad roads. However sometimes the easy option is to just slow down! And for those not paying attention, we are moving forward, you just missed the bus!!

They aren't worse, but the condition of the older streets and lack of attention to repair, make them seem worse.
With all the city supervisors driving aimlessly around town, you think they would report pot holes etc to the roads department for repair. It seems a small hole has to become a crater, damage a vehicle or two, or get reported often to get repairs. Ditches are full of water and weeds, sand is still on the roads and sidewalks from winter!! Where is the supervision? Sure don't get much for a tax dollar anymore. maybe road repairs etc. could be contracted out!

Kenora is rapidly going downhill and our potholes are one of the many things that are "Worse" here such as council, lack of jobs, wasting taxpayers money, ruining Main Street and the Harbourfront, backing up traffic down town.....Kenora needs to move forward not backwards)

The idea council has to aquire a pothole patching vehicle is a good idea. However some of our roadways are in such poor condition that the logical thing to do is resurface the road first. There are so many problem areas that this machine will not be able to keep up to the demand. This is a maintenance machine not a paving machine. If they want an innovative idea, try this, cover the recreation center parking lot with crushed stone and put the asphalt on the streets.

No. Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, and Dryden are in much worse shape.
