I hope so, but I have a lingering feeling that it's not. With taxes and sewer rates soaring past inflation and the general cost of living in Kenora skyrocketing with summer gouging; heck, with regular gouging, it's bad enough. I think the worse has yet to hit. Shop local, when you can afford it...

The city thinks we haven't hit bottom. A new tax increase and higher sewer and water rates will suck the last few pennies out of a lot of peoples pockets though.

Some have hit bottom, many haven't, and many won't. There is a way out of this recession, and it's not by saving your money, or by spending it in another country (Cuba, Jamaica, etc,). Stimulate the Canadian economy. It'll be good for all of us.

Depends on what is considered the bottom? I see people are still shopping at Safeway? Public transportation has not increased? One or two sectors that fail is not the end..., others still thrive. There is a solution... print more money!!!

The economy is one thing. We have a lot of crabs that want to pull everyone back down into the same bucket. We can't let that happen.

Why is it the ones that do nothing are affected the least, and the ones that try until they can't try anymore are affected the most?

All depends on where you sit. If you're a banker, it didn't affect you much and things will get better. If you're in the forest industry, you're in the bottom right now. If you work for GM or Chrysler, the worst is yet to come.
