There is enough signage at all the beaches for people to know that (a) There are no life guards and (b) it is your responsibility to watch your kids. Unfortunately common sense no longer exists, people will abuse the beaches. If you add life guards, then the City will be liable, when there is an incident. Not only that, at public beaches they would become more like referees and family councillors. |

You guys can't keep staff at the pool/wellness center and you think you're going to staff the public beaches? There's bigger fish to fry, guys. |
