I don't feel Kenora is a "boating" destination. Have you ever tried driving thru Kenora with a truck and boat trailer? Good luck, you have to swing wide like the semi-trucks used to before the by-pass went in. if you don't you will run over every corner sidewalk.

It's human nature that you can't please everyone. Mr. JT's voters are probably celebrating and gay with glee and giggles while the folks that voted for Harper are fuming and ranting like a little children when they realized the party is over. the power is gone. Noticeable during Ottawa's question period on TV. Hypocrisy at its best. If people say liquor is ok then it is. If not then its not. Same with pot.

Only if an age restriction is put on like cigarettes, also less people going to court and costing the tax payers money.

Up until recently, I was a card carrying member of the Liberal Party. After seeing what the last election has done to Canada, I have cancelled my membership.
Trudeau is out of touch with reality and what direction the country should take. Pushing to legalize pot, is the least of our worries. It will be a tax grab. If individuals can have four plants, who is going to monitor that. let me guess Pot Police – another level of the law. Who pays for that.

For many years some people have been advocating the decriminalization of pot for two reasons. Taxation and too many people in jail for something considered a misdemeanor crime. The anti-comments have nothing to do with pot, it is all about the hating Trudeau the Liberal . Wasn't this one of his campaign promises? You would think with all the potheads in this town the poll would be 100% in favour of the new legislation.

Fentanyl is a legal drug that has been approved by Health Canada and people die daily from using it, I don't know of any deaths that have been directly related to smoking a herb that has been grown and used on earth since the beginning of time. People believe that marijuana leads to harder drugs, but our youth experiments with cigarettes before pot and we know that smoking cigarettes is the #1 cause of lung cancer and that product is also legal. People who smoke marijuana don't usually smoke 25 or 30 joints a day like cigarettes are smoked. Please educate yourself before making a decision, there are lots of publications for you to research your questions.

With marijuana comes smoke! What about the health of others with second hand smoke? Are we not going back wards. Maybe there will a Carbon Tax on this too! Scary world we live in! Got to love Trudeau....Not!

All the government wants is another cash cow to fill their pockets it has nothing to do with anything else, as far as sick people needing it, yes. Smoking is smoking all that will be happening is more people using our healh care for lung disease etc.

It is funny it has not been mentioned about second hand smoke. Last week Dr Kit (Young-Hoon) of the health unit was talking about the effects of second hand tobacco smoke and alcohol effects but no mention of marijuana smoke. Maybe this should be investigated. Leave it to a pothead (Trudeau) to want to push this through. Needs to be voted out.
