Have I been living under a rock? Why is it I have just become aware of this referendum thing? Where has all the hoopla for or against it gone? Where is the detail that should have been out there educating the voters?

JoJo is the second best candidate to run in this riding this decade ? but she is up running against the best candidate ever coming from this riding ? the NDP leader ? Howard Hampton.

Isn't it interesting that more Kenora residents are worked up about faith based education then they are about the upcoming election?
Kenny  ( October 2, 2007)
Lets see, Dalton lies, the Conservative guy supports faith based religion, we are still paying for the last and hopefully the only NDP government! It may be a good day to go bird hunting (while we still can do that)!!

I think it is time that we finally elected a representative of the governing party. Maybe then we could get some action up north and get money directed to areas that need it, i.e. paper industry, logging, health and education. Lots of money down south for elected Liberals, time for some up here. I think Howie's time has come to sign off.

Why bother. We don't count when it comes to politics. Just bend over, keep on paying your taxes. As far as the "referendum" goes, it is another level of government for Southern Ontario, that we Northerners can't afford.

Too bad we didn't have a better choice, perhaps an independent that isn't into someone else's allegiance and will represent the community.

I am not at all pleased with the Liberals. They have destroyed our economy in this province. We pay a health care tax and for what? I see no change in the health care system, except for the push for privatized health care. And now they are jumping at the chance to add a holiday in February. They have had how long to do that? Stat holidays aren't ecomomically feasible either for businesses. I guess my choice will be for the lesser of the other two evils.

Congratulations in advance to the winner and leader of the NDP - Howard Hampton. JoJo would be have been a good choice alternative but she was running against the strongest voice coming out of the north.
