All you have to do is look at the party in government and look where the highway projects are happening. Thunder Bay, Liberal, highway twinning to Nipigon. They have a lot of traffic on that highway, yea right. Where is our local MPP? How come she isn't raising concerns over safety issues on the Trans Canada Highway and making comments about the project being so slow?
It should be an embarrassment to the sitting member of Parliament that she is so quiet on this long overdue project.

It is hard to believe that the twinning of the highways in Thunder Bay, Sault Ste Marie and Sudbury all started in that community and went out from there. But Kenora, start at the border. Eight years have been wasted on this project.

it was already an election promise what will change.
Paul  ( September 3, 2017)
Definitely not. It was a done issue., Do you really think anything will change as far as twinning. The fault is on the drivers and the police. Slow down, stop driving all night, get off the phone etc. Police do your job, this is the problem not the twinning. Tired of hearing about it

Costs too much money for three months of the year, lower the speed in Ontario or make a few more passing lanes.

The 100 million promised to four lane the Highway is going to build the so called Freedom Road. There's no accountability how the money on that road is spent.

The whole project was shovel ready 7 years ago. All the cottagers and residents were consulted, changes were made and the route was chosen. I saw the plans. It was Shoal Lake that shut it down and held it for ransom by not allowing the road to cross their territory not the politicians. Many people have died on that road since then. It's now time to build it before more people are killed.

It will be one of many empty election promises made. Also there will be money thrown indiscrimately thrown around hoping to buy a few votes.

The Provincial government has to say they're doing it, and do it. Lives are at stake, its more than justifiable. Over 10 years we've been waiting, tells you what the priority is, and its not the safety of the public - of local and National level. The Liberals gotta go.

Why not? It was promised two elections ago, then last federal election, Nault weighed in with more Liberal promises. To date, we have been lied to. Not that we aren't used to it. After all it is Northern Ontario – the south's poor cousin.
